When asked by his mum who he wanted to raise money for, he answered: “What about the yellow helicopter that helps people get help in hospitals? I think they do an amazing  job mummy.”

And we think William has done an amazing job too. During the month of August, he ran and cycled a mile a day and completed not one but two marathons! Not satisfied with that amazing feat, William has also been busy picking the fruit in the garden and selling it for donations to support the work of our crew.

It just goes to show that anyone of any age can fundraise and support our life-saving work. This year we need £8 million to fly our iconic yellow helicopter and operate our Critical Care Cars in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, bringing the equivalent of a hospital emergency department to the scene of an incident. Thanks to people like William we can be by the side of a patient when you need us most.
