Gift aid declaration
By completing a Gift Aid declaration you can add an extra 25% to your donation without spending an extra penny.Â
Gift Aid helps to maximise your donation and makes sure we can continue to help as many critically ill patients as possible.Â
LNAA can claim Gift Aid when you donate from your own funds and have paid UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax during that tax year.Â
To qualify for Gift Aid, the amount of tax you pay needs to be at least equal to the value of Gift Aid the LNAA will claim on your donation(s). If circumstances change and you no longer pay enough tax, it’s important to tell all the charities you support. If you don’t tell them and they continue claiming Gift Aid, you’ll need to pay any difference back to HMRC.Â
You can Gift Aid donations if you pay income tax or capital gains tax, provided you have paid enough tax during the year to cover the amount we are reclaiming on your donations.Â
If you live on your pension alone and don’t pay tax, you won’t be eligible.Â
Once you have made a Gift Aid declaration with us once it will be applied to all future eligible donations, as well as any you may have made in the last 4 years. You can make your declaration in any one of the following ways:Â
