Uranus Titans Rideout raises over £4,500
A big biker thank you to Uranus Titans for raising over £4,500 for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance in their annual rideout.
Motor cycle enthusiasts gathered on the 4th September for the Uranus Titans rideout. Starting in Fiskerton, Lincolnshire the route travelled through country villages situated near to the River Witham.
The rideout is the brainchild of Ralph Peplinski, who, after enjoying a similar rideout in Newark in 2019, decided to organise something himself. Together with three friends they raised £200+ for LNAA. They mentioned what they had done to friends one night whilst out at their local pub, The Carpenters, in Fiskerton. Interest began to grow and the “Titans” group was formed. The first Titans Rideout took place with 14 riders and raised £2,500 again for LNAA.
Word spread, interest continued to grow and the number of riders taking part this year increased to 21. Landlords Andy and Corrie played their part too and encouraged a magnificent number of volunteers to get involved, probably as a result of the excellent bacon rolls prior to departure!
Ralph is overwhelmed by the support from everyone who played their part in making the day so successful and at a presentation evening in the Carpenters on 17th September, he was delighted to be able to present LNNA crew Doctor Justin Garrett and paramedic Matt Burns with a cheque for £4579.
Les Pert, a longstanding volunteer for the LNAA said: “It has been fantastic to watch this group grow. Their enthusiasm and dedication to helping Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is infectious. My wife Joyce and I were only too pleased to help with sponsorship sheets, posters, bringing the LNNA car and organising T-shirts to be worn which made everyone feel they belonged together creating a professional event. We look forward to supporting them again next year and see the rideout grow even bigger.”
