Three cheers for Bridge McFarland Three Peaks Challengers
Three cheers for Bridge McFarland Three Peaks Challengers
A huge foot stepping, mountain climbing three cheers to ten intrepid hikers from Bridge McFarland LLP, who recently conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks and raised over £1,000 for LNAA.
Whilst only a few of the team from the Lincoln based solicitors were avid hikers, they all recognised that the 24.5 mile walk with a total of 1585m ascent in just one day would be a huge challenge.
One of the team, Jess Chester said: “We chose Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance as we all recognise the amazing and lifesaving work the organisation do. Whilst none of us have luckily ever required the assistance of the air ambulance we know that any of us or our families may do so in the future, particularly those of us who participate in the riskier sports such as equestrian and mountain biking. We know that LNAA is an amazing cause and rely purely on charitable donations so it’s a very worthy cause!
All ten of the group finished the challenge, with 5 completing it within 12 hours!
Vicky Varney, LNAA’s Corporate Partnerships Officer gave thanks to the team and said: “We are extremely grateful to the team from Bridge McFarland for taking on this amazing challenge in support of LNAA. Their fundraising efforts will help us continue to fly across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and help save lives.”
