When Nottingham based Breeze Corporate Finance were selecting their 2022 Charity of the Year, they wanted one which made a difference to people living across the East Midlands.  Director, Nigel Winkett,  said “We were overwhelmed when we found out how much money is needed to keep the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance operational.  When you realise that nothing is funded by the Government we just wanted to do what we could to help.”

The company hosted two events during 2022.  First in July their 2nd Annual Golf Day was held at Wollaton Park Golf Club and then in November staff invited friends to dance the night away at their Annual Charity Ball. Both events raised over £15,000 which was split between LNAA and another local charity, Derwent Rural Counselling Service.

Head of Corporate, Fundraising and Events, Tanya Taylor said: “We are incredibly grateful for the fantastic support from all the team at Breeze Corporate Finance. No one wakes up thinking they will need the help of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, but with our crews on call 365 days of the year, our highly skilled doctors, paramedics and pilots are there to help people involved in life-threatening incidents every single day. The enhanced level of emergency care we deliver to patients at the scene, gives people with the most severe injuries and medical conditions the very best chance of survival.

This donation helps keep our helicopter in the sky and our critical care cars on the road, giving patients the best chance of survival, thank you so much!”

Nigel recently visited LNAA headquarters together with Business Manager, Senita Vohra-Copley. They presented the crew with their generous donation and found out more about our life-saving work. And Nigel was so impressed with our work that after the year of fundraising, he has now joined LNAA as a member of its Board of Trustees.
