Lincs Radio with LNAA Fundraisers

When hosting an event for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance the next step is to make sure that is successful by spreading the word to your family and friends so you can raise as much money as possible. Here are some tips to help you spread the word and engage your supporters:

Create a plan:

No matter how small, it is good to jot down how, when and where you are going to promote your event.

Create Compelling Content for Social Media:

Craft engaging content that highlights the purpose of your event, its significance and the impact it will make. Use captivating visuals, compelling storytelling and clear calls to action of how people can get involved.

Leverage Your Local Community:

If you can spread the word with your family, friends & acquaintances, word travels fast in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire! Ask local shops & outlets to help you promote the event with flyers or posters.

Get In Touch with the Media:

If your area has a local newspaper, or media outlet, see if they have any ways of helping you promote your event. Remember, your event is supporting one of Lincolnshire’s and Nottinghamshire’s well-known charities, which is a story in of itself!

If you would like to raise money from your event, you can collect donations by setting up an online giving page so people can sponsor you online. There are many ways to do this, the most popular is Just Giving. If you would like help setting up an online fundraising page, please get in touch with us.

When you organise your own fundraising event in aid of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, you are responsible for making sure it does not pose any risks to others. We would recommend you do a risk assessment and you may need to consider taking out public liability insurance for events such as sponsored walks or runs, which will protect you against claims made by third parties. In most cases it is unlikely that Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance’s own insurance policy will cover an event that you have organised.

If you are planning a fundraising event for children, please also visit the Fundraising Regulator’s website.

Lotteries (including raffles) are complex and the most highly regulated form of fundraising for the sector. Holders of both large and small society lottery licences have to meet a significant number of compliance requirements under the terms of the license they hold, including meeting conditions regarding safeguarding, age verification and statutory reporting on proceeds. If you have any questions regarding lotteries or raffles for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, please email
