We receive no direct government funding so rely on the support of our local communities to raise £2.1million to keep our Ambucopter flying, saving lives and improving outcomes for patients 365 days a year.
On average, our Air Ambulance is called upon for between 2 and 3 missions a day, and each mission costs the Charity approximately £2,100. Since our flying operations began in 1994, our Air Ambulance has been called upon for more than 17,800 missions. Your donations pay for our Ambucopter’s lease, fuel and repairs, as well as the medical crew’s lifesaving equipment. We keep our overheads as low as possible because our priority is funding our Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.
