A big thank you to Sleaford and District Model Railway Club for raising a fantastic £4,000 for LNAA at their fourth Charity Modelling Exhibition.

Over 400 visitors were treated to a feast of modelling of all types and scales. Model railways, aircraft, cars, military vehicles, farming implements, doll’s house miniatures and model fairgrounds were shown, and the skill and dedication of the exhibitors were ably demonstrated by their superb displays. Charity Exhibition Manager, Eddie King, explained why the club chose to donate the money raised to Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.

“We wanted to raise money for a local charity that people would know and help support.  Since our first show in 2018, I have met people who have been helped or have family and friends that have been helped by LNAA. I have also met crew members and each time I have felt inspired by them to try and raise more money for the charity.”

LNAA volunteers Val Midgley and Jo Middleton went to a recent club celebration to receive a cheque.

It will cost £8 million in 2022 to keep LNAA operational, enabling our dedicated pilots, doctors and paramedics to carry the most up-to-date life-saving equipment and take an emergency department directly to the scene of some of the most serious incidents in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. As we receive no regular direct funding from the Government, we rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of people and organisations like Sleaford & District Model Railway Club to support our work.
