Overseas Challenges 2020
Morocco 3 Peaks & Kili to coast
We attend on average 3 life-saving missions across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire every single day, providing critical care at the scene of any emergency. The challenges our highly skilled crew take on every day are only possible because of the support we receive from the community; people like you!
This year, we want to give people the opportunity to experience their own life-changing experience and we have 2 exciting options for you to consider.
Kili to Coast Bike Ride Challenge 2020
This amazing adventure will take cyclists 430km from the foot of the world’s highest free standing mountain, the breath taking Mount Kilimanjaro, to the tropical paradise of the Indian Ocean. This unique route will take you through the back roads and bush land teeming with wildlife, giving you the opportunity to experience the real Tanzania, taking you along the edge of Mkomazi National Park home to the endangered Black Rhino. Your challenge ends with true Swahili spirit in an ancient village, surrounded by stunning beaches and coral reefs. Who knows what you will see along the way? What we do know is it will be truly spectacular!
Morocco 3 Peaks Challenge 2020
This awe-inspiring trek across the Moroccan 3 Peaks will take 5 days to complete. You’ll reach the breath-taking heights of 4,167m (13,674 ft), giving you the most spectacular views stretching as far as the Sahara and out to Atlantic Ocean.
The route will allow you to experience the beautiful region of the Atlas Mountains, with the first part of your trek taking you through classic Berber Villages. You’ll then ascend the first summit, Mount Mgoum, moving on to Ouanoukrim and finally take on the highest peak, Mount Toubkal. This really is the experience of a lifetime, and a challenge you’ll most certainly never forget.
CAN YOU MAKE
Both challenges will take place in September 2020.
Paramedic Rob Fillmer, pictured left, says: “We are called out, on average, 3 times everyday to incidents and emergencies right across both counties. Every day, we face challenging situations where we have to pull together as a team give our very best to help those in need. I am so proud to be part of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and we are only here because our supporters take on challenges, like this, to raise vital funds. This cycle challenge looks amazing, a definite once in a lifetime, good luck to all of those who sign up.”
Both Overseas Challenges will be hosted by Travel and Trek, who have vast experience of organising challenges of a lifetime. Everyone’s challenge is different – for you it could be taking part in our Morocco 3 Peaks Challenge, but equally, it could be undertaking a 5k run or even a triathlon.
