Every year hundreds of people undertake fundraising events for our charity, from cake and bake sales to rallies and marathons.

The range of fundraising events continues to grow year on year. Whether undertaking an activity on your own or taking on a group challenge, our fantastic fundraisers all have one aim in common – to raise funds that will make a real difference.

Here’s just three fantastic stories that will inspire you to take on a fundraising challenge this year.

Uranus Titans fundriasing

Uranus Titans Rideout

Motorcycle enthusiasts the Uranus Titans raised a rip-roaring £4,500 on their annual rideout. Starting in Fiskerton, Lincolnshire the route travelled through country villages situated near to the River Witham.

The rideout was the brainchild of Ralph Peplinski and he is overwhelmed by the support from everyone who played their part in making the day so successful.  At a presentation evening he was delighted to be able to present LNNA crew Doctor Justin Garrett and paramedic Matt Burns with a cheque for £4,579. The enthusiasm and dedication to helping Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and the work it does was infectious and all are now looking forwards to raising more funds at the next annual event.

Williams' inspirational double marathon fundraiser

William’s Double Marathon

A huge fundraising three cheers for six-year-old William who raised £700 by running and cycling a marathon during the summer holidays.

When asked by his mum who he wanted to raise money for, he answered: “What about the yellow helicopter that helps people get help in hospitals? I think they do an amazing job mummy.”

And we think William has done an amazing job too. By running and cycling a mile a day he completed not one but two marathons! Not satisfied with that amazing feat, William has also been busy picking the fruit in the garden and selling it for donations to support the work of our crew.

Teresa Crabb and Karen Dowse inspirational coast to coast fundraising hike

Teresa’s Heatwave Hike

Teresa Crabb and her childhood friend Karen Dowse raised over £3,000 after completing their gruelling 192-mile Coast to Coast fundraiser in the blistering summer heat of 2022.

They walked from St Bees in West Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay on the East Yorkshire Coast during some of the hottest weather on record in the UK.

Speaking about why they chose to support the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Teresa said: “We have both lived our whole lives in villages all around rural Lincolnshire and we both have had friends who have been involved in terrible accidents and needed the assistance of the LNAA.
