Ride to Save Lives
Our second annual Ride to Save Lives in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire took place on Sunday, September 24.
A big thankyou to all riders, marshalls, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped to make this day a huge success.
If you took part in the ride out you may have spotted our amazing volunteer photographers Rob Inglis and John Perring snapping away. And, now, all of the photos they took on the day are available to buy, with proceeds coming to the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. Take a look at the fantastic photos and help to support this vital life-saving charity. Click here to see photos.
“This year we need to raise £2.5million to support our life-saving Ambucopter which is dispatched to around 1,000 of the most serious 999 calls in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire every single year. As a Charity, we rely on donations from the public and our annual Ride to Save Lives is just one of the ways in which people can help to support their local Air Ambulance.” – Fundraising Manager Emma Thorpe.
Our 2017 ride out was sponsored by weONLYmot.co.uk, run by brother and sister duo Misch and Sam Fretwell. Sam was himself airlifted by the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance following a collision five years ago. Since then the siblings have dedicated time to raising money and awareness in all 8 MOT testing centres in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and also via events held in the local area to show their support.
